Fiona the Collector Tin Teapot: ANZAC
This ANZAC tin teapot by Fiona the Collector transforms a commemorative ANZAC biscuit tin into a whimsical domestic piece of art. The spout and handle on this teapot are ceramic pieces that have been handmade especially for the tin, and the handle features an embossed slip design to reflect the decorative pattern on the tin. The teapot's "lid" is a tiered collection of vintage lozenge tins crowned by a antique-look cut glass door knob.
Tin teapots are quirky one-of-a-kind artworks by mixed media artist, Fiona Haynes, using collectable vintage tins. The lids on the tin teapot artworks are intentionally secured so that they have no functional use except to be admired and adored in your home; as such, they are not suitable for use as mundane domestic ware, such as for making tea and storing items.
