Creative Kids: Ceramic Bird Painting (15 April)
Ceramic Bird Painting Workshop for kids with Monte Lupo Arts: 1–2pm Wednesday 15 April.
This is one of a series of kids' workshops that Plant Empire will be hosting for creative kids during the Easter school holidays.
In this workshop, Ceramics artist Kim Green from Monte Lupo Arts will work with young creatives to paint a ceramic bird to perch on a stake to feature in your garden. Kids can choose to make a kookaburra, toucan or cockatoo with their own selection of decorative finishes and colours.
Finished pieces will need to be returned to Plant Empire in the week following the workshop so that they can be kiln fired and attached to stakes. Finished pieces will be available for collection or delivery from Plant Empire from Thursday 30 April.
All materials and equipment for the workshop, including pre-fired ceramic birds and glazes will be supplied in advance of the workshop. Please indicate when registering if you are able to collect the workshop materials from Plant Empire, or if you would like them delivered to your home (for an additional cost of $5).
This workshop is targeted for kids 8–13 years old, although children a little younger or older are welcome to join where siblings are attending, and parents are also welcome to join in the fun. All Plant Empire workshop presenters involving children are Blue Card holders.
This workshop will be livestreamed online for those who are able to join the class remotely. You only need a phone, tablet or laptop with internet access to join the livestream. Register for the class through our website and you will receive the login instructions by email.
Cost: $40 / $36 (Multi-pass)
