Medium Ceramic Seed Planter Workshop (10 & 17 October)
Medium Ceramic Seed Planter Workshop with Monte Lupo Arts: Saturday 10 & 17 October.
In this 6-hour workshop held over two weeks in October you will learn from artist Kim Green from Monte Lupo Arts to sculpt and decorate your own large seed-inspired ceramic planter for your home or garden.
Your design will be inspired by seeds from nature and can be made as a planter or pond which, depending on how fast you work, can be up to 50cm high and 30cm wide in size. In the first week's 4-hour workshop, you will learn a range of hand-building pottery techniques including coil building, scoring and slipping to make the body of your planter, plus embellishing and texturing to decorate the surface. When you return for the second week’s 2-hour class, you will raw glaze your pot using a restrained palette of 1-3 colours. Your pieces will be fired following the second workshop and will be ready for you to collect two weeks following the final workshop.
