A cyanotype contact print transforms the familiar white blooms into deep blues, pale highlights and dark shadows. Stripped of their natural colour, they become studies in tone and form, balancing recognisable botanical imagery with abstraction. Presented together, the three blooms offer variations on a single subject, examining their delicate structures and changing presence. This work is framed in natural oak under anti-reflective glass.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAbout the artist.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIti Connor is a photo-media artist whose practice explores an ongoing fascination with the relationship between nature, memory and change. Originally from Estonia, Iti relocated to Australia in 2016. The unfamiliar shapes, textures and distinctive plant life of the southern hemisphere became an important source of inspiration, leading to a closer engagement with the Australian landscape. Through cyanotype and mixed-media processes, she translates these encounters into monochromatic or limited-colour compositions, often emphasising structure, detail and subtle shifts in appearance.
