Watermelon Vine - Large Leaf Form (Dischidia ovata)
Dischidia ovata is a climbing or hanging Australian native plant with waxy green leaves featuring white vein patterning which resemble mini watermelons, giving it the common name of "Watermelon Vine". This plant is a large leaf form of Dischidia ovata, with leaves up to 3-4cm long.
Dischidias grow well indoors, or in shade conditions outdoors. They require perfect drainage, so are best planted in a free draining mix suited to orchids. Water sparingly during the colder months to avoid root rot.
The plants we have for sale are growing in 90mm pots with stems that are 30-50cm long. You will either receive the same plant in the photo or one of equivalent growth from the same batch.
We deliver our plants locally and interstate, except for Western Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory for quarantine reasons. Plants that require shipping are posted on Mondays to minimise the time in transit. All other items will be posted within 2 business days of receiving your order
