Yoga for Anxiety (6:30pm Tue 14 April)
Yoga for Anxiety 6:30–7:30pm Tuesday with Porscha Cox.
Yoga is a simple and effective tool to help manage both mild and stronger moments of anxiety and are also helpful in alleviating the symptoms of day-to-day stress that we all experience. In this special Yoga for Anxiety class, you will learn particular breathing styles, asanas (Yoga poses), and mindfulness techniques to help relieve an anxious and overwhelmed mind.
In this class, we flow through peaceful and calming yoga techniques that you can practice to help centre yourself in times of stress. This is a great way to discover new strategies for achieving balance and harmony and feel empowered as you step back into the working year.
All bodies and levels of experience welcome. Our yoga classes are livestreamed online for those who are able to join the class remotely (in-person classes have been suspended for the time being). You only need a phone, tablet or laptop with internet access to join the livestream. No camera, microphone or tidy rooms are required, as you only need to see the teacher to join this class. To join the livestream, just register for the class through our website and you will receive the login instructions by email.
