This artwork celebrates the joy of finding treasures on land or in the sea and the importance of storytelling. Is it historic? Whose hands held it before mine? Why does its form intrigue me? Lost Treasures has been crafted by hand, glazed and fired twice.

About the artist.

Glenys Throssell is a local Brisbane painter and ceramicist. After a career in the private and public sector, Glenys has been a full-time carer for the last 15 years. During this time, Glenys resumed her love of the creative arts. Glenys holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Research Masters from the University of Queensland.

Collection or delivery.

This item is part of the Plant Empire Small Wonders Exhibition 2026, on display from 9 May - 7 June. Exhibition items are available for sale in person or online. In the unlikely event that a customer purchases the item in-store at the same time as it is sold online, we will refund the online purchase - thank you in advance for your understanding if this situation does occur.
