"Altocumulus at Sunset" was painted with my eyes closed and the result was exactly as I predicted! I wanted the vibrancy of the sky to be portrayed without any restrictions. I deliberately chose my arm movement to be at one angle only so as to show the transport of the clouds by the wind.

About the artist.

Dutch born Nicole de la Mar is a mother of five and a lover of art. Inspired by many cultures and experiences, she creates exquisite semi-abstract artworks, mostly using acrylic on canvas. Her work has been exhibited in Queensland and New South Wales, plus European collectors have recently discovered her unique creations. She believes in “creating freely of things that matter to you in that exact moment of time”.
